Glass Blowing
So bold you claimed that you would try
to learn the ancient practice.
You took my heart your craft to ply;
and left me with a promise.
But though you were so vigilant,
and every care was taken,
as my heart grew ever pliant,
you struggled to reshapen.
Glass shattered as my fragile heart
fell upon the concrete floor.
So delicate the tender art
hardly practiced any more.
